Sia recently revealed that she adopted two teens from foster care, and now her family has gotten even bigger. In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Sia shared that one of her sons became a dad, so she’s now a grandmother.
“My youngest son just had two babies. I'm a f--king grandma!" Sia exclaimed. "I know, right? They call me 'Nana,’” although she notes, “I'm trying to get them to call me 'Lovey,'" the same name Kris Jenner’s grandchildren call her.
Sia says her two sons, who are both Black, have been in 18 different foster homes in 18 years, noting, “I'm a little bit jaded now after investigating the foster system as much as I have done in the last year, because it's completely corrupt; it's failing us.”
While she says the beginning of their relationship was a “massive rollercoaster,” things are getting better and they are finally accepting that she loves them. "One recently came out, and he's just blossoming and is the light of my life. ... I love him so much," she said. "I'm just trying to do my best for them."
Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden was arrested over the weekend on allegations of domestic violence.
According to the LAPD, the 41-year-old Madden was charged with willfully inflicting a “traumatic” injury on a spouse or cohabitant and was released on $50,000 bail. The victim has not been identified.
“We are deeply devastated by this disappointing news. As we learn more, we are looking at this very seriously,” read a statement by a rep for the band. “For now, we are allowing all of the individuals involved the space to work things through.”
Dua Lipa is hoping to collaborate with Madonna in the near future. At least that's what her manager BenMawson revealed in an interview with "Music Week."
Dua’s latest album “Future Nostalgia” was produced by Stuart Price, who also produced Madonna’s “Confessions on a Dance Floor,” and when asked whether Dua could follow in Madge’s career footprint, Mawson suggested it was possible.
“Well it depends what you mean. She’s definitely going to have a long career,” he said. “She’s definitely the complete pop star and obviously the album was heavily influenced by Madonna.” He then added, “In fact, we’re about to try and get Madonna on a record. I’m going to write the email and see if she’s up for a track.”
Mawson also said that when he met Dua at 17 she told him she “aspired to be Madonna,” noting, “Dua’s got it all, so she’s unlimited potential.”
So far there's no word whether Madonna has taken Dua up on her offer.
