The American Music Awards have added even more performers to Sunday’s telecast. The latest additions include Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World, Post Malone featuring Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott and Watt and Green Day.

Aguilera and A Great Big World are expected to premiere a new song on the broadcast. The artists previously performed together on the AMAs in 2013, performing “Say Something.”

  • These artists join previously announced performers Jonas Brothers, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Kesha featuring Big Freedia,Shania Twain and Thomas Rhett, along with Taylor Swift, who’ll be honored as Artist of the Decade. Tay has just been given the green-light to perform a medley of her old hits on the show.

The 2019 American Music Awards air Sunday night on ABC, live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

John Mayer and Shawn Mendes have incurred the wrath of some of Taylor Swift fans. It seems the Swifties aren’t too thrilled the pair recently made fun of some of the lyrics to the singer’s tune “Lover.”

It all went down on the latest edition of Mayer’s Instagram Live talk show “Current Mood.” The pair was talking about the song, and while Mayer, one of Tay’s exes, insists he loves Taylor’s album, he admits he gets “a little chuckle” from the lyric in “Lover” where she sings, “We can leave the Christmas lights up till January.”

“You’re insane. Everyone keeps their Christmas lights up until January,” Mayer said. “And I go, ‘Can you really?' Because normally I take my Christmas lights down on December 29.’” He later sings, “We can keep the Christmas lights up till January. And then about January 5th, we’ll take the lights down. And then we’ll put ’em in a box and we’ll label that box Christmas Lights. Yeah, we’ll put ’em in the attic until next December.”

While the rant was all in good fun, and some Swifties got that, it seems some were not happy about it, and were particularly upset that Shawn, who is featured on a remix of the tune, was laughing along with him.

  • “Making fun of Taylor’s lyrics but not the cringey bad lyrics Shawn added” one person commented, while another added, “John has no reason to bring her up unless to step up and support what’s happening right now. Which he isn’t.”
