“We encourage everyone to bring their friends, family and coworkers out for this fun-filled day,” said Brian Weltge, President & CEO of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. “One hundred percent of our programs and services are funded through donations by individuals, companies and grants. This is why events such as the Furry Skurry 5K and Furry Fest are so critical to our organization. Your support is helping us impact thousands of animals right in our community.”

This year’s event kicks off with a 5K race that you can do with or without your furry friend. Immediately following the race is a 1-mile walk so everyone can join in on the fun. Not into walking or running? Just join us for all the fun activities as part of Furry Fest.

“Furry Fest is a great way to really just get out and celebrate animals,” said Weltge. “We will have a ton of great things for your entire family to do, plus fun for your pets, too!”

This year’s Furry Fest activities include:

·Llama petting zoo

·Shopping at 40+ vendors in our Flea(less) Market

·Food Trucks including Hamburger Wagon, El Meson and Dayton Urban BBQ

·Dog bone bar

·VIPP (Very Important People and Pets) amenities including premium parking an open bar and much more

·Live music by 24Seven

·Trivia in our beverage tent

·Giant yard games

·Arts & Crafts

·Beverage Tent including Bloody Mary’s, mimosas, beer and wine

·High-flying pancake breakfast

·And so much more!

To guarantee your T-shirt for this superhero-inspired event and to get your sWag bag as well as a voucher for the high-flying pancake breakfast, register now at www.hsdayton.org/FS.

Once you register for the event, make sure to also customize your personal fundraising page. With just a post or two on your Facebook page or the click of one or two emails, you can help raise some much needed funding to help give these defenseless and homeless animals a voice.

Children, dogs, and superhero costumes are welcomed and highly encouraged.

Thank you so much to this year’s Furry Skurry 5K & Furry Fest sponsors including our presenting sponsors Petco Foundation and Subaru of Dayton.

All proceeds raised from this event help care for the homeless pets at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
