Is A One Direction Reunion About To Happen?

While One Direction isn’t ending their hiatus anytime soon, the guys in the band may actually be reuniting over the holidays, according to Liam Payne. In an interview with Capital FM, Liam made it sound as if he and his former bandmates are going to try and get together in London.

“I spoke to Niall (Horan) the other day. We were both super jet lagged. He texted me at like two in the morning, and I was just wide awake from like midnight to right through the next day,” he said. “We spent like four hours on FaceTime. I hadn’t spoken to him in ages. It was actually really, really funny. We had a really good laugh.”

He then commented about wanting to see his other bandmates over the holidays, noting, “Everyone’s so busy, it is what it is,”  adding, “I obviously saw Louis (Tomlinson) over the course of ‘X-Factor.’ I haven’t seen Harry (Styles) in a while now, but I think everybody’s in London at the moment, which is cool, for the first time — this the closest we’ve been for a while.”

Dean Martin’s Daughter On The “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” Controversy

There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the holiday tune “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” with some stations even banning it from their Christmas rotation due to lyrics some suggest promote rape culture. Well now Deana Martin, daughter of singer Dean Martin, who was known for performing the tune, has chimed in on the debate.

“I was absolutely flabbergasted,” Deana tells “Fox & Friends” of the controversy. “It’s just insane. When I heard it, I said, ‘This can’t possibly be.’” She adds, “You know, it’s a sweet, flirty, fun holiday song that’s been around for 40 years for my dad. He did it in ’59.”

As for how her father would react, Deana says he “would be going insane right now,” noting, “He would say, ‘What’s the matter with you? Get over it. It’s just a fun song.”

Deana also adds that she doesn’t think the lyrics to the song should be changed. “This PC is driving me nuts. You gotta sit back and relax. Have a good time. It’s OK,” she says. “People gotta have a sense of humor about themselves. I understand the #MeToo movement and everything. I’m all for that. But this? We gotta relax and have fun again.”
