Carrie Underwood Reveals She Suffered Three Miscarriages

Carrie Underwood and hubby Mike Fisher are expecting their second child this year, but in an interview with "CBS Sunday Morning" she reveals that she actually miscarried three times before becoming pregnant with her current child.

"I'd kind of planned that 2017 was, you know, going to be the year that I work on new music, and I have a baby," she says. "We got pregnant early 2017, and didn't work out.”

Carrie says she suffered a second miscarriage in 2017, and another in 2018. “In the beginning, it was like, 'OK, God, we know this is, just wasn't your timing. And that is all right. We will bounce back and figure our way through it,': she says, adding that after the third loss, “it was just kind of like, 'OK, like, what's the deal?’”

Carrie admits she was “afraid to be angry,”, because her life was “blessed” with her son Isaiah and happy marriage. “I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t,” she said. “I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.”

But, Carrie admits, when she thought she had miscarried a fourth time, “I got mad.” She said that’s when she told God how she felt, and at her next doctor’s visit, she was informed all was okay. Carrie notes, “he heard me.”
