Did Ed Sheeran Secretly Wed?
It looks like congratulations may be in order for Ed Sheeran. In case you missed it, during an interview with “Access,” Ed seemed to hint that he and fiancée Cherry Seaborn have secretly gotten married.
When asked about his wedding plans, Ed shrugged and smiled and then pointed to the wedding ring on his finger. The interviewer congratulated him on the news, and then asked "How did you sneak that one?” to which Ed replied, “Well I never do anything too public anyway."
Of course that’s not really an official statement, and Ed and Cherry haven’t given one...yet. Plus, Ed has been wearing a ring on his wedding finger ever since he and Cherry got engaged.
Taylor Swift May Be Looking For A New Label
Taylor Swift stands to make a boatload of money this fall. That’s because the singer’s contract with Big Machine Label Group is about to expire, which means she is about to become a free agent.
Taylor signed with BMLG when she was only 16 and just starting out, and has now gone on to sell more than 32 million records for the label. But her latest album “Reputation” was her last under her contract, which expires in November. Insiders say BMLG has been working hard to get Taylor to re-sign with them, but so far no deal has been reached, and she’s said to be talking to other labels now as well, so she can see how much she’s really worth. As one source notes, “Everyone is starting to sniff around.”
One of the biggest sticking points to any deal would be ownership of her album masters, which is something only BMLG can offer, but may not be willing to part with so fast, since they could be worth more than the artist in another 30 years or so. One source suggests those masters could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, which would be important to the label should owner Scott Borchetta decide to try and sell the label again, as he attempted in 2015.
Shawn Mendes Is Single And Happy About Its
Although he was previously linked to Justin Bieber’s now fiancée Hailey Baldwin, Shawn Mendes is currently single, and he’s perfectly happy about it.
“I'm not currently dating anyone, but it's not because I don't have time—I don't know if I'd be dating anyone if I was home in Pickering, either,” he tells “Variety.” “It hasn't stumbled across me, and I'm not chasing it.”
He adds, “Of course, seeing all those other artists and people in relationships, you think, 'Maybe it would be nice; who would be great for me?' And that's when you realize: 'This is wrong. Let it be. I'm not supposed to be with anyone right now.'"
As for Hailey and Justin, he shares, “It's great to see two amazing people get together. If you know them both separately, it does make a lot of sense. A little bit of yin and yang."
