Demi Lovato’s Fans Share How She Helped Them
As Demi Lovato continues to heal from an apparent drug overdose, her fans are not only coming to terms with what's happened, but opening up about their own struggles. Perhaps in a bid to return the favor.
Almost since the beginning, Demi has worked hard to be a positive role model to her fans. Not only by sharing her own struggles with addiction and mental illness, but also, by creating safe spaces for them at her shows. She's also provided information about resources for them to access.
That's why it's not really surprising to hear that a number of Lovatics are taking to social media to share how Demi has helped them. Appropriately enough, they're using the hashtag #HowDemiHasHelpedMe.
Charlie Puth & Macklemore Dedicate Songs To Demi Lovato
Just hours after Demi Lovato was hospitalized in California, Charlie Puth dedicated a song to her at one of his concerts.
Charlie was on stage at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, when he told the crowd, “This song goes out to Demi Lovato. I hope she makes a quick, quick recovery and our prayers are with her.”
There are conflicting reports as to what song he dedicated to her, with some outlets saying he performed “See You Again,” while Billboard reports it was the song “Change.”
Macklemore also dedicated a song to Demi during his show in Boston. He chose the tune “Otherside,” in which he raps of his own battles with addiction.” Macklemore sent out his “prayers and love” to the singer, calling Demi his “sister in recovery.”
Pink Shares Her “Secrets”
Pink just dropped a new video for her latest track “Secrets,” the fourth single from her album “Beautiful Trauma.”
"Yo!! I’m so psyched to share my new music video for “Secrets” with all of you," Pink tweeted. "My dancers and I filmed this after a show in Perth at a rad artsy warehouse."
The clip follows Pink and her dancers having a wild time, and getting quite close, in a graffiti-filled warehouse.
Rachel Platten Pregnant
Congratulations are in order for Rachel Platten. The singer has announced on Instagram that she and hubby Kevin Lazan are expecting their first child.
“This is one of my most exciting announcements, but also one of my most vulnerable. So here goes…. I am pregnant!!” she shares. “I can’t believe I’m finally typing these words – I have wanted to share this news for months.”
She adds, “The truth is, I am overwhelmed with love, joy and happiness about our baby. It’s a total miracle that I’m growing a human and my husband and I couldn’t be more thrilled.”
