Demi Lovato Says The Met Gala Almost Drove Her To Drink

It sounds like we won’t see Demi Lovato getting all dressed up for another Met Gala. In a new interview with “Billboard” magazine, Demi says a run-in with one celebrity at the 2016 bash was so traumatic, it almost pushed Demi, a former addict, into a relapse.

“This one celebrity was a complete b*tch and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey,” she says. “I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink.”

Instead of drinking Lovato texted her manager, who arranged for her to go to a local Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. “I changed my clothes, but I still had my diamonds on —millions of dollars of diamonds on in an AA meeting,” she said. “And I related more to the homeless people in that meeting who struggled with the same struggles that I deal with than the people at the Met Gala — fake and sucking the fashion industry’s d*ck.”

Now, Demi never names the “b*tch” in question, but many are speculating that she’s talking about Nicki Minaj, since right after the event Demi posted a picture of Nicki rolling her eyes at her. At the time Demi wrote, “This picture pretty much summed up my first and probably last met…#notforme #sweatpants,” adding, “p.s. some of y'all need to learn how to take a joke.”
