Blake Shelton On His Relationship With Gwen Stefani’s Sons

Blake Shelton opens up about his relationship with Gwen Stefani’s sons in this week’s issue of “People,” you know the one that named him Sexiest Man Alive.

“For a long time, it was awkward trying to figure out what my place is and in their mind too,” he says. “The best part for me, selfishly, is discovering a part of myself that I guess I never really knew was in there. It’s definitely an instinct that kind of kicks in.”

Things can get crazy with three boys, 11-year-old Kingston, nine-year-old Zuma and three-year-old Apollo, in the house and Blake jokes, “there’s days where you go, ‘Oh my God, when does school start?,” but he notes, “An hour later you’re going, ‘God, I can’t wait ’til they get home.'”

He adds, “They’re so damn funny. It’s just my first time being around it, and it’s easy to fall in love with those kids. They’re pretty special.”

As for Blake’s relationship with Gwen, he tells the mag, “I try to be a gentleman as much as I can. I think the thing that she needs most in her life is to be put on a pedestal.” He adds, “She and I, on paper, we couldn’t be more different. But in life, nothing’s ever worked better for me.”

Mariah Carey Cancels Holiday Shows Due To Illness

Mariah Carey’s holiday season isn’t getting off to a good start. The singer just announced that she’s been forced to cancel several shows on her Christmas tour after coming down with an upper respiratory infection.

“Just in time for the holiday gift giving season it seems I’ve received a present of my own,” she writes, “an upper respiratory infection after last week’s flu.”

Mariah's holiday tour was due to kick off tomorrow in Windsor, Ontario, Canada with another show scheduled for Saturday in Chicago.  As of now her website lists the tour as starting November 27th at the Beacon Theater in New York City.

Kelly Clarkson Is Happy When She’s Fat

Kelly Clarkson is known for having a positive attitude about her weight, and there’s a very good reason why she won’t be losing any pounds because of someone else’s opinions.

“It’s when I’m fat that I’m happy,” she tells “Redbook.” “People think, ‘Oh, there’s something wrong with her. She’s putting on weight’ I’m like, ‘Oh, no! I’m sorry, but that represents happiness in my emotional world.’ For me, when I’m skinny is usually when I’m not doing well.”

She adds, “If you gauge your life on what other people think, you’re going to be in a constant state of panic trying to please everyone. People should just concentrate on their own lives and their own health and their own happiness, and whatever that looks like for you, be happy with it.”

Kelly also admits to the mag that she and hubby Brandon Blackstock are pretty happy when it comes to the bedroom. “To keep it family appropriate, let’s say we’re just a lot more active than other couples,” she says. “When I met Brandon, I wasn’t looking for a friend. I have a lot of great friends! I was looking for a lover." She notes, "I had never found someone I was truly passionate about, who I wanted to stay in bed with all day. The fact that I did, well…I was going to latch on and take advantage of that.”
