Ed Sheeran Fans Can Win A Private Serenade By The Singer
Ed Sheeran fans have a truly unique opportunity to meet the singer and raise money for a good cause in the process. Ed has teamed with Omaze for a new contest in which one lucky winner will get a private love song serenade by Ed.
All fans have to do is donate $10 and they’ll be entered into the running for the serenade, along with a pizza party, selfies, and more. The winner will be flown to Los Angeles and put up in a hotel, with her experience happening backstage at iHeartRadio's Jingle Ball 2017 at the Forum on December 1st.
And the more money fans donate, the more chances they have to win, with $50 donations translating into 500 entries and $100 donations getting 1,000 entries and an exclusive (Red) T-shirt.
Proceeds from the contest will go to the Global Fund to help provide life-saving medication to moms and their babies impacted by HIV/AIDS. Check out Ed’s announcement to the right, where he tries to guess whether something is a song lyric or a pizza review.
Pink Tried To Write A Song With Billy Joel
It’s no secret that Pink is a Billy Joel fan. So much so that she walked down the aisle at her wedding to Carey Hart to Joel’s “She’s Always A Woman To Me.” But what many people probably don’t know is that she tried to write a song with the legendary "Piano Man," although it didn’t go as well as she’d hoped.
In case you missed it, Pink, whose new album "Beautiful Trauma" drops today, tells the “Los Angeles Times” that the idea to write a song together came up after she bumped into Joel at a piano bar in the Bahamas. “I bought a very good bottle of wine and sent him a glass,” she shares. “He came over and I said, 'You gonna write that song with me?' He said, “OK, I’ll try it.”
Pink says she and her band later flew to Palm Beach for the writing session, but it didn’t quite work out. “The problem is he’s too good for me. I clammed up. But we’re gonna keep trying,” she says. “He goes, ‘Do me a favor: Go home, pick out the best poem you’ve ever written and send it to me, and I’ll make you a song.’ I got home and was like, ‘All my poems are the worst pieces of trash I’ve ever seen in my life.’”
