Ed Sheeran Breaks 22-Year Australian Chart Record
Ed Sheeran has set a new record Down Under. Ed’s “Shape Of You” is at number one on the ARIA Singles chart for a 14th week, the longest chart topping streak for an artist in 22 years. Before now, Coolio held the record for the most weeks at number one with “Gangster’s Paradise,” which reigned on the chart for 13 weeks back in 1995.
Ed also retains the top spot on the ARIA Album’s chart, holding off Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN,” to lock in a seventh week at number one for his album “Divide.”
Madonna Biopic In The Works
It looks like a Madonna biopic may soon be hitting theaters. Universal has purchased the rights to the script “Blonde Ambition,” which was written by Elyse Hollander.
And it sounds like it may be a good one. The script ranked atop the infamous Black List last year, which is made up of most-liked unproduced screenplays.
The film, which will be produced by “Fifty Shades of Grey” producer Michael De Luca and Brett Ratner’s RatPac Entertainment, follows Madonna through the early eighties as she tries to record her first album, while dealing with a personal life as well as her first taste of fame.
