Ed Sheeran Isn’t The Only Artist To Hand Over Credit For Song Similarities              The Full Story:

Ed Sheeran recently gave Kandi Burruss and Tameka "Tiny" Colette a writing credit on his hit “Shape of You” because of similarities with the TLC song “No Scrubs,” which they wrote. But Ed is far from the first artist who’s taken such a precaution to guard against a possible lawsuit over a tune.

More and more artists are being extra careful following the 2013 lawsuit over “Blurred Lines,” which Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I. lost after being accused of ripping off Marvin Gaye’s “Got To Give it Up.”

Recent examples of artists who’ve handed over writing credits because of similar sounding songs include:

The Chainsmokers, who added The Fray’sIsaac Slade and guitarist Joe King to “Closer” after folks noted similarities between "Closer" and The Fray’s 2005 song “Over My Head (Cable Car)." Miguel added Smashing Pumpkins’Billy Corgan to "leaves" after he realized it sounded too similar to the Pumpkins’hit “1979.”Marc Ronson and Bruno Mars added The Gap Band as writers to “Uptown Funk” after the tune’s release because of similarities to "Oops Upside Your Head,” although Ronson insisted didn’t lift anything from the group. They also added Nicholas Williams (a.k.a. Trinidad James) and producer Devon Gallaspy to the tune before the release because of a sampling of James' "All Gold Everything."Sam Smith added Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne to the writing credits on “Stay With Me” after Petty’s team called Sam’s about the similarities between the tune and Petty’s “Won’t Back Down.” Petty insisted that a lawsuit was never threatened and that Sam quickly addressed the situation when brought to his attention.

Lollapalooza Lineup Is Here

After plenty of speculation, the official Lollapalooza 2017 lineup is here. Lorde, Muse, The Killers, Arcade Fire, and Chance the Rapper are all set to headline the Chicago festival, which will run from August 3rd through the 6th.

Blink-182, Cage The Elephant, Wiz Khalifa, Rae Sremmurd, Ryan Adams, Liam Gallagher, and Spoon are all also expected to perform at this year's installment of the fest.

Air From An Adele Concert Being Sold On Ebay

While many Adele fans like to collect memorabilia from the singer, the latest memento up for grabs is a bit outrageous. An eBay user who goes by the name shaun_mcdonough is selling what he describes a “legit bag of air” from one of Adele’s recent concerts in Australia.

“Grab a piece of history for your Adele collection. A true fan must have this air. Bid now for a bargain,” he writes in his description. “Please note I’m selling a Coles sandwich bag which contains the air.”

So far two people have actually bid on the ridiculous item, with bids reaching just under $12.
