Lorde Drops New Song, Announces Album Release Date

Lorde fans got a treat yesterday. Not only did she reveal that her new album “Melodrama” will drop on June 16th, but she also released a new song from the record.

The new track, “Liability,” is a ballad, with Lorde backed only by a piano. “I love the song so much and it feels so starkly truthful to me,” she recently told Zane Lowe about the tune. “And I think everyone knows what that’s like, to just feel like a f**king liability.”

Upon releasing the song she tweeted, "wow feels big and intense having liability out in the world strange part of myself for a lot of people to look at," adding, "good though.

Meanwhile, there’s a good chance Lorde fans will get to see her perform the new tune, as well as “Melodrama’s” first single “Green Light” this weekend. She’s the musical guest on tomorrow’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

Taylor Swift Stalker Arrested

We all know Taylor Swift has a lot of fans but one fan took things a little too far. Obsessed fan Mohammed Jaffar has basically been stalking the pop star for the past three months.

The 29-year-old first showed up to Taylor's Manhattan apartment back in December asking to get a face-to-face with the star. He was sent away, only to return four more times over two months, and once even got into her building and loitered right outside her door and on the apartment’s roof for four hours. On another occasion he rang her doorbell for an hour straight trying to meet her.

According to a criminal complaint, Jaffar also called her management company 59 times in less than a month demanding an introduction to the singer.

He was finally arrested on Monday and charged with stalking and burglary and is being held on $20,000 bond. In addition, Taylor took out an order of protection barring Jaffar from contacting her.

Justin Timberlake Teases Album Update

Justin Timberlake fans are used to waiting for new music from him, considering he took seven years to release his “20/20 Experience” albums. Well, it’s been three years since those two albums came out and it sounds like fans won’t have to wait that much longer for a new one.

In case you missed it, when an impatient fan wrote to Justin, “i'm gonna need an album soon because i'm getting tired of letting the 20/20 experience play. i need some new JT!!,” he teased fans with an update, responding, “on the way…”
