Ed Sheeran Opens Up About His Friendship With Taylor Swift
Ed Sheeran appears on the cover of this month’s “Rolling Stone” and inside opens up about his friendship with Taylor Swift.
"She would be there if everything ended for me,” Ed says of Swift, who he toured with in 2013 on her “Red” tour. “Taylor is kind of an anomaly in that sense. She's omnipresent because she's the most famous woman in the world, so she can't make the decision to not be in the press. I always stick up for Taylor."
And nabbing Taylor as a friend wasn’t the only perk on that tour. Seems, Ed often found himself hooking up with members of the singer’s squad. "Taylor's world is celebrity. I was this 22-year-old awkward British kid going on tour with the biggest artist in America, who has all these famous mates. It was very easy," he notes. "I would often find myself in situations just kind of waking up and looking over and being like, 'How the f--k did that happen?'"
But as close as he is to Taylor, there’s never been anything, but friendship between them, despite what the media may have reported in the past. "I found that aspect quite lazy journalism," he says. "There wasn't any truth to it whatsoever.”

As for why the house is on the market, the singer’s listing agent says the couple is moving to a new home they're building on a farm near Nashville.
