You Won’t Want To Miss The GRAMMYs On Sunday
Music’s biggest night is almost here. The 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards are set for Sunday, with a star-studded lineup that’s guaranteed to entertain.
This year’s performers include Adele, Kelsea Ballerini, Lukas Graham, Bruno Mars, Anderson.Paak, Katy Perry, Sturgill Simpson and A Tribe Called Quest, with rumors that Beyoncé will turn up as well. In addition, the show will feature some unique collaborations including performances by Metallica with Lady Gaga, John Legend with Cynthia Erivo, Maren Morris with Alicia Keys, The Weekend and Daft Punk and Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood.
The GRAMMYs are also set to pay tribute to Prince and George Michael, who both passed away this year, although so far there’s no word on who’ll be performing during the tributes. The show will also feature a tribute to the Bee Gees and a celebration of the 40th anniversary of “Saturday Night Fever,” featuring performances by Little Big Town, Demi Lovato, Andra Day and Tori Kelly
Beyoncé leads this year’s pack of nominees with nine, including nods for Album of the Year for “Lemonade,” Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Formation” and even a Best Rock Performance nomination for “Don’t Hurt Yourself,” featuring Jack White. Drake, Rihanna and Kanye West each have eight nods, with Adele, earning five, including nods in the three major categories Album of the Year for “25” and Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Hello.”
The 59th annual GRAMMY Awards, hosted by James Corden, airs Sunday on CBS at 8pm ET.
Does Lady Gaga Have A New Man?
Lady Gaga reportedly has a new man in her life. According to “People” magazine she’s dating CAA talent agent Christian Carino.
The mag reports that last month they seemed quite close at a Kings of Leon concert. And they were also spotted getting cozy on the field over Super Bowl weekend.
So far there’s been no confirmation from Gaga, who split from fiancé Taylor Kinney in July. Carino, whose clients include Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez and more, previously dated “The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan.
Kelly Clarkson’s First GRAMMYs Ruined By Cancer Misdiagnosis
Kelly Clarkson went to her first GRAMMY Awards in 2006 but it wasn’t the happy occasion it should have been. In case you missed it, even though Kelly won two awards that night, she couldn’t enjoy it because that same morning she had been diagnosed with cancer.
“I went the whole day crying. They redid my makeup, like, four times because I was like, 'Wow, so young.' I was just completely freaking out," she told "Billboard's" Pop Shop Podcast. "Then when I won, I thought, 'Oh, my God. This is like God giving me one more thing before something horrible happens.'"
Turns out the cancer diagnosis was a mistake, but the damage was already done. "Who mixes up results? Why wouldn't you test again? It was very much a roller coaster ride, that day, for me," she said. "So, it's kind of unfortunate, but a lot of the moments got stolen from that mishap. But hey, I didn't have cancer!"
