GRAMMYs To Feature Prince & George Michael Tributes
The Recording Academy has finally confirmed Sunday night’s GRAMMYs will feature tributes to Prince and George Michael, both of whom died in 2016.
"George Michael and Prince were pop icons who showcased rare musical genius and otherworldly charisma," Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy, says. "The passings of two such creative innovators were a huge loss for the creative community; The Recording Academy is humbled to pay homage to their tremendous legacies on the GRAMMY stage."
So far there’s no word on what artists will take part in either tribute. The 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards air Sunday night at 8 pm on CBS.
Lady Gaga Responds To Bodyshamers And More
There were some trolls on social media who were calling out Lady Gaga for showing off her belly fat during the Super Bowl halftime show, and now the singer is fighting back.
Gaga took to Instagram to respond to the bodyshamers, insisting she is “proud” of her body, and encouraging other to feel the same way about theirs.
“I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I'm proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do,” she shared. “I could give you a million reasons why you don't need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That's the stuff of champions.”
Ed Sheeran Ready To Settle Down?
Ed Sheeran’s relationship with girlfriend Cherry Seaborn is getting very serious. During an interview with an Australian radio station, Ed admitted that he’s ready to settle down with his gal.
"She lives three or four miles away from me, where I grew up, and we live together now," Ed said on the “Kyle and Jackie O show," adding, "We just got cats!" He even added that he "feels pretty good about" the thought of spending the rest of his life with Cherry. Awww!
