In celebration of its enduring legacy, Amazon has announced that they’re releasing an original documentary series, appropriately titled "Mariah Carey Is Christmas!," that will delve into the story behind her Christmas classic.

Amazon made the announcement yesterday in a trailer of the special, which they published to the official Amazon Music YouTube channel. Based on the series’ preview, the docu-series will feature commentary from Mariah herself and a roster of music insiders, including renowned producer Randy Jackson, Variety music editor Shirley Halperin, music executive Gary Trust and singer Trey Lorenz.

“I just remember where I was coming from [and] wanting it to feel like a classic,” Mariah reminisced in a preview clip. “I said, ‘Let me try and get into the Christmas spirit.' … I started writing and changing a Christmas song into a love song back into a Christmas song and kind of making it all one thing.”
