Taylor Swift Covers Phil Collins For BBC Radio 1’s “Love Lounge”

Taylor Swift is channeling a little Phil Collins. The singer appeared on BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” and as most artists do, she performed a cover tune. Her choice was Collins’ 2002 take on “Can’t Stop Loving You,” with Taylor calling it “the most sad and beautiful song ever.”

“The type of love that this song sings about is unconditional love,” she explained. “I think true, unconditional love is like, do you love someone so much that you would even love them if they didn’t love you anymore? That’s what this song sings about. It’s literally the most sad, beautiful song ever.”

Taylor also performed several songs from her album “Lover,” including “London Boy,” “Lover,” “The Archer,” and “You Need to Calm Down,” as well as “Holy Ground” from “Red.” Check out a clip of the Collins song and “Holy Ground” to the right and listen to the whole performance
