Gaga is doing her part to try and heal some wounds left by the mass shootings in Gilroy, California, El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. The singer took to Facebook to share that through her Born This Way Foundation and DonorsChoose.org she is donating money to help fund classroom projects in 162 classrooms in the three cities affected.
“My heart goes out to those who were taken from us too soon and to their families, loved ones, and communities who are left to grieve. Everyone has the right to laws that make them feel safe in their communities,” she writes. “In this moment, I want to channel my confusion, frustration, and fury into hope. Hope that we are there for each other and for ourselves.”
