WOMEN'S WORLD CUP: Team USA Headed to the Finals

The U.S. women's national soccer team is once again headed to the World Cup Finals after beating England Tuesday, 2-1.

They won it thanks to goals by Christen Press and Alex Morgan, and an incredible save on a penalty kick by goalie Alyssa Naeher in the 84th minute of the game.

Now Team USA has a shot at winning back-to-back world titles. On Sunday at 11 a.m. ET, they'll play in the World Cup Final for the sixth consecutive time. They'll play either Sweden or the Netherlands, depending on who wins Wednesday's semi-final game. (Yahoo Sports)

Hot Takes:

  • U.S. star (and Donald Trump nemesis)Megan Rapinoe missed Tuesday's game due to a hamstring injury, but she's expected to be ready for Sunday's final.
  • The U.S. women's team deserves all the accolades and more. At this point, it's pretty much a dynasty.
  • It's great that we have something to rally behind and bring us all together during this divisive time in our country.
