Where to find shelter and water in wake of tornado devastation

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The City of Dayton has created a web page where people can find information about shelters, water distribution, boil advisories, and more.

Bottled water pickup locations include:

  • Greater Dayton Rec. Ctr., 2021 W. Third, until 9 p.m.
  • Northwest Recreation Ctr., 1600 Princeton Dr., until 9 p.m.
  • KROC Center, 1000 N. Keowee, until 9 p.m. 
  • Dayton Fire Station 8, 2636 Stanley Ave., until 8 p.m.
  • Dayton Fire Station 15, 2801 Wayne Ave., until 8 p.m.
  • Aullwood Farm, 9101 Frederick Pike, until 5 p.m. Each household may fill up to five gallons of water; please bring your own containers to fill.
  • Fresh Thyme Farmers Market: 2850 E. Centre Dr., Beavercreek 45324 (Note: Limit 2 cases of water per family)
  • First Baptist Church of Kettering: 3939 Swigart Road, Beavercreek 45440 (between 9 am and 9 pm)
  • Kroger (the following locations will have water available on a first come, first served basis starting at 11:30 am):
    • West Siebenthaler Ave. (community cookout at this location Friday from 11 am until 3 pm)
    • Needmore Road
    • South Smithville Road
