Dave Grohl has shared a special message for Yoyoka Soma, a nine-year-old drumming prodigy from Japan.
During a guest appearance on Tuesday's episode of Ellen, Yoyoka played a drum cover of the Foo Fighters single "The Pretender," and after her performance, host Ellen DeGeneres showed her a video recorded by Grohl.
"You're amazing," Grohl said. "Keep it up, because the world needs more drummers."
Earlier in the show, Yoyoka -- in Japanese, through a translator -- said that Grohl was one of her favorite drummers because he's got a "really heavy groove."
Yoyoka previously went viral last year thanks to her performance of Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times."
