More On Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner's Wedding

As we told you, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas wedding after the Billboard Music Awards, but it turns out the nuptials wasn’t a spur of the moment decision. Jessie Grice, the Elvis impersonator who presided over the nuptials, tells TMZ the couple actually reserved the Little White Wedding Chapel a week ago, booking the venue from 8 pm to 12 pm so no other weddings would be there.

Reports originally suggested the couple was going to tie the knot in Paris and it seems that’s still going down. A source tells People, “They had to get married in the States to make it legal, but the wedding is still in Europe.” Because of residency rules it isn’t uncommon for international couples to have a legal ceremony before marrying in another country.

According to the U.S. Embassy & Consulates in France, “At least one of the parties to be married must have resided in France for at least forty days immediately preceding the marriage” for it to be legal, and a “religious ceremony does not constitute a legal marriage.”

  • But just because they're getting married again, doesn't mean they can't enjoy a honeymoon. The reports the newlyweds checked into the super swanky, and very private, San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood Thursday.
  • Finally, as you can imagine,Jonas Brothers fans had quite a reaction to news of Joe’s wedding, and took to social media to share their thoughts, especially since it now means all three JoBros are hitched
