Skyline Chili Plans Gifts for Local Babies Born on National Chili Day

Thursday is National Chili Day,a sacred holiday in the land of Cincinnati, and for the seventh straight year, Skyline Chili will greet babies across the region with a birthday present.

"These lucky newborns will each receive a Skyline onesie and a Skyline gift card for mom and dad.Since the program began in 2012, the restaurant has welcomed 812 National Chili Day Newborns into the world," Skyline officials said. 

Skyline will distribute the care packages to labor and delivery departmentsat University of Cincinnati Medical Center, University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital, The Christ Hospital, Mercy Hospital of Anderson and Fairfield, Mercy West Hospital, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Bethesda North Hospital.

"This year marks Skyline’s 70th anniversary, and we’re excited to spend National Chili Day celebrating our long-standing role as a special gathering place for Cincinnati families,” said Sarah Sicking, Director of Marketing for Skyline Chili.

The onesies are emblazoned with a coney and the phrase "Lil' Cheese."

“Welcoming National Chili Day newborns has become one of our favorite ways to give back to the community, and we can’t wait to treat this year’s new families to a very happy first Skyline experience," Sicking said.
