With Halloween on the way, Horror-lovers everywhere are tuning into their favorite spooky and scary movies. A new survey asked 2,000 Americans about their favorite horror movies. It’s safe to say they’re not for everyone, with 36% of the participants called sitting through scary movies “pure torture” and another 39% suffering from sweaty palms through the films.
But among the spookier respondents, the 1973 classic “The Exorcist” came up in the lead with a 50% vote. And while “Nightmare On Elm Street” only made the fourth spot of the top ten, a whopping 62% agreed that Freddy Krueger is the best horror villain.
