Lauv Releases New Song Inspired by a Fan's Anonymous Note

Lauv is out with a brand-new single, inspired by a fan.

The song is called "Superhero," and according to Lauv, he wrote it after he received a note from a fan that read, "I met a superhero. I lost her. I want her back."

“At my shows, I ask people to submit notes in a glowing blue box about whatever’s on their mind or whatever they're feeling in that moment," Lauv, born Ari Leff, explains.

"I call it my blue thoughts, and this song was inspired by an anonymous note left in that box. I had no plans of writing this song, but 10 minutes after finding the note, it existed."

"I then set out to find who the mystery co-writer was to learn his story and get their blessing to tell it, and after weeks of searching, I did," he continues. "So now today the song, video, and story are out, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with my fans and the rest of the world."

In the lyric video for the song, Lauv goes on to explain that the author of the note was a guy named Martin, from Germany. He was in Boston, visiting a girl named Diana, but they had a fight, so he attended Lauv's concert alone and wrote the note about her.
