Taylor Swift brought her “Reputation World Tour” to Manchester this weekend and took time out of her show to pay her respects to the city and its resilience following last year’s terrorist attack.
“You’ve shown that you’re never gonna let anyone forget about those victims. And you’ve shown that you have such incredible resilience to keep dancing and to keep the innocence and to keep the joy and to keep the excitement,” she told the audience. “I just wanted to say Manchester: It is such an honor to play for you tonight.” Check out her comments to the right.
ONE MORE THING! Taylor has donated a load of tour merchandise to a charity that requested her help raising money to help underprivilged youth. Karim Siddiqui recently reached out to Taylor’s team about his KAMS Foundation gala, which took place this weekend. The organization, which was started in honor of his late cousin who died in a motorcycle accident, seeks to empowers underprivileged youth through sports and mentoring. Well, Karim didn’t expect to get an answer back, but he did, and received a whole bunch of merch from both her “1989” and “Reputation” tour, including shirts, sweatshirts, oven mitts, kitchen sets, tote bags, keychains, scarfs and more. Their plan was to auction off gift baskets filled with the merch.
