Were You a Woman Impacted by Memorial Day Tornadoes? Do You Need Clothing?

Clothes That Work and CAbi are teaming up to serve women impacted by the Memorial Day tornadoes. Nearly 1,000 Dayton area women will receive 3,000 brand-new garments this Saturday. Please share this information with any woman who was impacted by the tornadoes that hit our area on Monday, May 27, 2019. Here is more information:

This Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Dayton nonprofit Clothes That Work and cabi, the nation’s largest social-selling women’s clothing company, will host a day of pampering and self-care for 900 local women impacted by the Memorial Day weekend tornadoes.

The women, whose clothing was lost or destroyed in the disaster, can choose from 3,000 brand-new pieces of clothing donated by The Heart of cabi Foundation. Local cabi Stylists will also donate additional gently-worn clothes for the event.

Event organizer and local cabi Stylist Kim Peters says, “I’m so excited to bring together two wonderful organizations to benefit the women of Dayton. In difficult times, it’s important we show up for our neighbors and both Clothes That Work and The Heart of cabi exemplify that.”

Tornado victims will be asked to provide proof of loss via an insurance claim or a FEMA letter.Individuals can also bring an id and original document showing their pre-disaster address.Red Cross volunteers will be present to help participants verify proof of loss.The event will be held at Clothes That Work at 1133 S. Edwin C Moses Blvd., Suite 392, Entrance A in Dayton, Ohio.
