Sofia Coppola's Daughter Was Grounded for Trying to Charter a Helicopter

Romy Croquet, the 16-year-old daughter of Oscar-winning filmmaker Sofia Coppola, is going viral on social media after making TikTok videos about nepotism and being grounded.

It looks like Romy launched a TikTok account this week while grounded for trying to charter a helicopter from New York to Maryland to hang out with a friend.

“Make a vodka sauce pasta with me because I’m grounded,” Romy started out a video, which has since been deleted, but is spreading around on Twitter right now.

Romy continued, “I tried to charter a helicopter from New York to Maryland on my dad’s credit card because I wanted to have dinner with my camp friend.”

While trying to make the pasta, Romy said that she doesn’t know the difference between garlic and onions and that she had to Google images of onions. “I’m embarrassed,” she said.

She continued, “Also, I thought I would do this since I’m already grounded because my parents biggest rule is like, I’m not allowed to have any public social media accounts. Here’s why,” she said while picking up a Grammy Award.

“They don’t want me to be a nepotism kid, but TikTok is not gonna make me famous, so it doesn’t really matter,” Romy said.

Romy then introduced her babysitter’s boyfriend and said, “my parents are never home so these are my replacement parents.”
