The Weeknd Recruits Rosalía For Seductive 'Blinding Lights' Remix

The Weeknd has recruited Rosalía for a sexy new “Blinding Lights” remix.

On Friday (December 4), the Canadian singer-songwriter surprised fans by enlisting the Spanish pop star for a sultry new version of his smash hit single. The 27-year-old songstress does the honors of starting off the remix, which sees Rosalía delivering several verses in Spanish as well as joining The Weekend for a seductive duet.

Rosalía's opening verse sees her yearning for her lover’s love and affection as she tempts him to touch and turn her on.

"I said, ooh, I'm blinded by the lights/ No, I can't sleep until I feel your touch/ I said, ooh, I'm drowning in the night/ Oh, when I'm like this, you're the one I trust,” the superstars sing together on the chorus over the ‘80s-tinged production.

“Blinding Lights” originally appeared on The Weeknd’s latest studio album, After Hours, which released to high acclaim in the spring. The song was an instant smash hit for the R&B superstar, who has since released several other tracks from the number-one LP including “Heartless,” “In Your Eyes” and “Save Your Tears.” Besides Rosalía, The Weeknd also received a remix cosign from the likes of Kenny G (“In Your Eyes”).

The Weeknd’s latest song release comes on the heels of his fiery Grammys call-out from last week after receiving zero nominations at the 2021 ceremony.

"The Grammys remain corrupt," he tweeted in response to his number-one album and series of smash hits from the LP getting snubbed in every category. "You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency..."
