Kelly Clarkson, Normani & More To Perform At 2019 Billboard Music Awards

Kelly Clarkson, Panic! at the Disco, Khalid, Lauren Daigle, Sam Smith, and Normani have been announced as performers at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. On Tuesday (April 9), dick clark productions unveiled the star lineup for the upcoming awards ceremony, airing on May 1.

Clarkson, who will host the music celebration for the second year in a row from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will shift gears duties during the program for a live set of her own.

The two-time BBMA-winning Daigle and Panic! will perform live on the show for their first time. The latter is competing for four trophies including Top Rock Artist and Top Rock Album, as the Christian singer-songwriter is nominated in three categories at this year's event.

According to Billboard, Normani will sing alongside Smith for a live performance of their collaboration "Dancing With a Stranger." The Fifth Harmony alum's "Love Lies" duet partner Khalid, with whom she performed at last year's show, will also take the stage for a solo presentation, potentially from his newly-released sophomore album, Free Spirit.

The 2019 BBMAs nominees were revealed on Thursday (April 4). As previously reported, rap's finest are dominating this year, with Cardi B leading the pack with 21 nominations. Drake and Post Malone follow after with 17 nods each, Travis Scott with 12 nominations and the late XXXTentacion earning 10.

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards air on Wednesday (May 1) on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
