Despite the tragic way Jon Snow and Ygritte's forbidden love affair ends in Game of Thrones, it was a a happy ending IRL for the Black Brother and wildling.
On Saturday (June 23) Kit Harington and Rose Leslie tied the knot at the actress' family's castle, Wardhill, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The guest list included pretty much the whole cast of GoT, including Sophie Turner, Peter Dinklage, and Harington's latest on-screen love interest, Emilia Clarke.
Yigritte was Snow's love interest in seasons four through six of the HBO hit series, and the two found real love offscreen. Harington proposed last September, a day before he had planned.
I did have some plans to do it," he explained on The Jonathan Ross Show. "I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early."
"I was meant to do it the day after with the lights," he continued. "What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early. Not blew my load. Sorry, that's a really bad expression."
