People freak out all the time when they meet Taylor Swift. But imagine being her biggest fan and then finding out that she's going to be your Mega Mentor on The Voice -- that's what goes down in a sneak peek at Swift's run on the NBC reality singing competition. This is the second go-round for Swift as a Mega Mentor on the Emmy-winning show, where she first lent a hand in season 7.
Monday night's (Oct. 28) episode will wrap up the Battles before switching over to the Mega Mentor portion, during which each artist will be paired with a teammate and select their own songs to sing, with Swift helping all four coaches and their teams by providing feedback and suggestions as each singer prepares for their performance.
In the preview, Taylor and Kelly Clarkson meet up backstage and Kelly reminds Taylor that she's done this before, to which Swift replies, "But not with you!" Rocking a sparkly black suit, Taylor meets Team Kelly's Jake Hoot, who just happens to be one of her biggest fans. "Being able to work with you? You can't put it into words," he says, with his sister mentioning that they all have matching Fearless tats.
"They never react like that when it's just me," Blake Shelton laments as two of his team's singers come out and freak out over Swift as well. "Oh my goodness, it made my life... it did," says Team John Legend's Katie Kadan. Joking that she didn't realize she was going to be referred to as a "Mega Mentor," Swift jokingly snaps her fingers and demands a latte right away.
Luckily for everyone involved, no one actually had a heart episode, but they were all super psyched to have Taylor in the building. The Voice airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET and again on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
