RiverScape MetroPark •  Sat, Aug 16, 2014 @ 11:00 am

DAYTONOHHispanic Heritage Festival - The best authentic Latin food and music will be back in the MiamiValley on Saturday, August 16, 2014.  The sounds of Salsa, Merengue, Mexican music, Latin Jazz, Cumbia, and Bachata music will come alive in downtown Dayton at the Fourteenth  Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.  at RiverScape MetroPark, 111 E. Monument Ave.  Admission is FREE.

In addition to first-class entertainment, there will be amazing food, fun contests, resource booths, free health care screenings, children’s activities, and Zumba!  As in previous years, this event will serve as PACO’s main fundraising activity that supports charitable services and funds educational scholarships, primarily within the Hispanic community in and around Dayton.   As a non-profit organization, PACO is dedicated to the success of its community and its goal is to raise the level of multi-cultural awareness and achieve a higher level of community acceptance of the Hispanic/Latino culture.  The festival will highlight contributions Hispanics have made in the community and also to say, “Gracias” to all those who help Hispanics reach the American dream of freedom and prosperity.

The Fourteenth Annual Hispanic Festival is presented by the Puerto Rican, American and Caribbean Organization (PACO) and Five Rivers MetroParks.  The festival is made possible thanks to the generous contributions from Kroger, Care Source, SinclairCommunity College, WrightStateUniversity, Heidelberg Distributors, Home Depot, La Vanguardia Hoy, and Magnolia Estates.
